BRICK BY BRICK
Exhibit
Brick by Brick, developed and created by MSI Chicago, features more than a dozen giant constructions by LEGO® Certified Professional Adam Reed Tucker, including a 60-foot Golden Gate Bridge, the International Space Station and Roman Colosseum. Angela worked closely with the digital media production team as well as the advertsing team to drive ticket sales throught the exhibit's multi-year run at MSI.
LEGO BUDDY
PUBLIC RELATIONS AND VIDEO PRODUCTION
To celebrate the opening of Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light annual exhibit in 2016, Angela and the public relations team planned a live Grand Tree lighting ceremony for media and guests. A LEGO® mini-fig costume was custom ordered and expertly adorned by Angela, who was onstage as the tree was lit. Afterward, Angela worked with the videographer to produce a video highlighting the LEGO® mini-fig's day at the Museum.
OUT OF HOME ADVERTISING
TRADITIONAL MARKETING
Angela worked with the advertising team to produce custom Chicago bus shelter builds. At Angela's art direction, the underside of a LEGO brick can be seen from inside the shelter. Additionally, Angela oversaw the "guess a brick" social media contest where people encouraged people to guess how many LEGO bricks were inside the shadow box. Additionally, Angela used creative from the ad campaign and photos to mocked up what the LEGO-brick rendered Colosseum would look like as a double decker bus. (Ultimately the team went with a Golden Gate Bridge LEGO structure for the bus.)
BUILD EGG-CITEMENT
VIDEO PRODUCTION
Brick by Brick opened just before Easter, so Angela came up with a strategy to film inside the iconic Baby Chick Hatchery in honor of the holiday. Adam Reed Tucker built the miniature MSI featured in the video, and Angela produced the rest of the staging including using plastic eggs filled with bricks, LEGO baby chicks, and MSI's logo rendered in LEGO-bricks.
